Our dedicated Test Department within the Thermoplastic hose manufacturing plant located in the UK at Whitby has facilities which have provided validation tests for all types and sizes of hose and couplings that we supply in accordance with recognised ISO, SAE, etc. specifications.

We have 6 square wave impulse test rigs which are capable of impulse testing at temperatures up to 150ºC and pressures up to 1100bar to various internationally recognised configurations including:- SAE J343, SAE J1405, ISO 6802, ISO 6803, ISO 8032

A typical impulse test configuration showing 6 hoses on test at 180 degrees at minimum bend radius. Most of our tests are performed according to ISO 6803, however we have facilities for testing to ISO 6802 and ISO 8032, we also test according to other standards such as SAE and UK Coal and to individual OEM standards where impulse cycle requirements in excess of 1,000,000 and temperatures of up to 150ºC are stipulated. Obviously, all aspects of the hose assemblies are tested. The design, materials, end terminations, hose/coupling interface and hose all have to satisfy the relevant standard requirements.
